LTL Carrier Insurance Pays by the Pound
The insurance they offer is designed to pay by the pound at the rate of a few cents per pound. This type of insurance is definitely not enough to cover most damage or any kind of loss. You will however, find that you can buy supplemental insurance for anything you ship with an LTL carrier to cover up to the full value of your load.
